About Toymaster

Toymaster was formed in 1989 and has grown over the years to become the largest buying group in the UK and Ireland dedicated to supporting Independent Toy Retailers.

All Toymaster Members retain their independence as Retailers, so they still make all the key decisions about their business, such as which ranges and products to stock and how to market their business in their town, with us on hand to help and advise at all times.

Every Toymaster store is unique, so has different requirements and plans. Toymaster’s role is to get to know each of our Members so we can provide them with the individual support they each need for their store and business; ultimately the Members make the decisions about their business.

Toymaster Members are central part of their local communities. They get involved in local activities and support other Independent Retailers in their towns to encourage customers to shop local.

Toymaster is a ‘mutuality’, a non-profit organisation, which is wholly owned by its Members and every new Member by definition also becomes a shareholder.

Toymaster’s strength is in the individuality of its Members. We involve our Members in key strategic decisions for the whole group via a Member committee.
